Richard Dale has worked in education since 1984. He started his career teaching band, choir and elementary music in the Tonkawa Public School System for five years. He continued as a band director, assistant principal and later principal with Ponca City Public School’s for eleven years. Richard has been principal at South Intermediate High School since 2000. Richard graduated from Coweta High School in 1979 and continued his education at Oklahoma State University earning a Bachelors of Music Education Degree. Richard went on to earn a Masters of Science degree (1994) and a Doctorate of Education degree (2004) from Oklahoma State University. Richard is a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the Cooperative Council of Oklahoma School Administrators (CCOSA), and the Oklahoma Parent Teacher Association (OKPTA). |

Amy Gann, Assistant PrincipalE-mail Ms. Gann Amy Gann is a McAlester High school graduate. She earned both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from East Central University. She taught ninth and tenth grade English at Savanna High School for eight years. In 2002, Gann moved to Texas where she was a school counselor in Frisco for five years. In 2006, she and her family and returned to Oklahoma where she was hired as a counselor at SIHS. After one year, she moved into an Assistant Principal’s position where she continues to serve South students. |

Tammy Strickland has been a proud Broken Arrow Tiger since fourth grade and is a 1994 BAHS graduate. She attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah on a softball scholarship where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Tammy earned her Master’s degree in Education Administration, Curriculum and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma. In addition to her twelve years as a math teacher at Haskell Middle School, Tammy has worked as a district learning coach, LITT (Lead Instructional Technology Teacher), and a basketball and softball coach. Tammy enjoys sharing time with family and friends, especially with her husband, Chris and their two-year-old son, Barton. As a former student of South Intermediate High School, Mrs. Strickland is excited to now serve at SIHS as a new assistant principal. |
