SchoolMessenger | Parent Notification System

Broken Arrow Public Schools (BAPS) utilizes SchoolMessenger, a leading provider of notification services for parental outreach, emergency broadcasts, student attendance alerts, site-specific information and other communications for education.

SchoolMessenger does not replace current school communication methods. Teachers, principals and administrators are still accessible for in-person visits and will continue to communicate via current methods.

If you have a student(s) enrolled at BAPS, please contact your school site to update any phone number changes.

If you do not have any student(s) enrolled and wish to have your phone number removed from the system, please email Lorene Brantley and indicate your name and the phone number you wish to have removed from the system.

Text Message Feature

Broken Arrow Public Schools is excited to announce that we are activating the text message feature on SchoolMessenger.

To comply with wireless carrier requirements and to protect against unsolicited text messages, you will receive a text message from SchoolMessenger on Oct. 23 that will request you to “opt-in.” This text will be sent to the cell phone number the district has on file in eSchoolPlus. We encourage you to check with your child’s school site to make sure your cell phone number is up to date.

The message you receive on Oct. 23 will come from our “short code” 67587 and will read similar to the following:

“Broken Arrow Public Schools messages. Reply Y to subscribe or STOP to cancel. Msg&data rates may apply. Msg freq varies. Visit schoolmessenger.com/txt for info.”

If you do not reply, you will NOT receive any further text messages from our schools.

If you DO NOT wish to receive the text message on Oct. 23, please visit www.schoolmessenger.com/txtmsg to opt-out. Message and data rates WILL apply for this required text message from SchoolMessenger.

If you opt-in, but later decide to opt-out, simply send “STOP” to 67587.

If your phone number is already listed in eSchoolPlus and if you would like to “opt-in” prior to Oct. 23, you may do so by texting “Y” to 67587. However, please realize you will not start receiving texts until Oct. 23.

Please check with your wireless carrier for information about your mobile service plan and any possible charges related to text messaging. Broken Arrow Public Schools does not reimburse for any charges associated with sending or receiving text messages.
