The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a test traditionally taken by students during their junior year to determine eligibility for National Merit and other scholarship qualifications. Juniors have the option to take the PSAT and there is a exam fee for the student to take this test.

This test will be given on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.

Kathryn Carson at the Broken Arrow High School (BAHS) media center will be accepting PSAT registration for this exam. The fee is $15. Cash or checks will be accepted. Checks need to be made out to BAHS. Students wishing to sign up for the exam should stop by Ms. Carson's desk in the media center before school or during lunch by Friday, October 7. Students from out of the district who are signing up to take the exam will be placed on a waiting list until October 18 to ensure that BAHS students have first priority.

All Juniors that register for PSAT/NMSQT are eligible to participate in a prep sessions that will be held on Thursdays in October , 6:00 p.m. – 8 p.m. in BAHS media center.

Selected BAHS sophomores will take the PSAT/NMSAT exam on Wednesday, November 2, at their school site. There is no fee for sophomores and this doesn't count towards determining National Merit scholars.
