Allergy Information

The child nutrition department makes every effort to accommodate special dietary needs. In order to do so, the department needs the dietary modification form to be completed and signed by a licensed physician. The form must clearly state your child’s medical condition or allergy that requires dietary modification and must be dated  for the current school year. Our Registered Dietitian may follow up with you regarding the diet modification. A new or updated form will need to be submitted every school year to stay current with changing recommendations. Please turn in completed forms to the Child Nutrition Department.

We will take every reasonable measure to avoid allergens for affected students. Even with our best efforts, however, staff and parents/guardians need to be aware that it is not possible to achieve a completely allergen-free environment. By implementing strategies to minimize the presence of allergens in school cafeterias, we hope to reduce the likelihood of adverse reactions.

The eight most common food allergies include milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish.

If your child has special dietary needs, please contact our Registered Dietitian Emily McNally, RD/LD at 918-259-4565.
