Margaret Coates is a graduate of Collinsville High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation and holds a Master’s degree in Athletic Administration both from the University of Tulsa. While attending the University of Tulsa she played basketball for the Golden Hurricane, was an Academic All-American and a graduate assistant for the Physical Education Department. She began her career at Phillips Petroleum Company as a Corporate Fitness manager and later went back to school and earned an associates degree in Information Technology and became a certified Math teacher. She then pursued her dream of being an educator and taught Geometry in Owasso. While in Owasso for the past 10 years, Mrs. Coates served a variety of roles including Math Department Chair, Assistant Girls Basketball coach, Cross Country coach, Track coach and finally becoming an Assistant Principal for the Owasso Mid-High and Virtual School Administrator for the district. She served as an Assistant Principal for 5 years and Virtual School Administrator for 3 years. This will be her first year with Broken Arrow Public Schools. Mrs. Coates looks forward to many successful years in Broken Arrow and is excited to be a Tiger! |

Beth Gilbert grew up in Oregon, Ohio and graduated from Clay High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Mrs. Gilbert began teaching in Oklahoma at Sequoyah Middle School in 1999. She taught Transitional 7th Grade and 8th Grade Language Arts. She was Broken Arrow’s Teacher of the Year in 2002. In 2007, Mrs. Gilbert moved to Centennial Middle School and continued teaching Language Arts. She has a Master’s degree in Administration from Oklahoma University and is excited to have the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Principal at CMS! |

Mr. Kiker is a graduate of Inola High School. He has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Northeastern State University. His ten year career in education has been spent at Sequoyah Public Schools in Claremore. While there, he held many duties including teaching various levels of science, coaching, Director of Athletics, and Principal of the Mid High. |
