Kenneth Kinzer, Principal
Kenneth Kinzer is a graduate of Catoosa High School. He earned is Bachelor degree in Secondary Education from The University of Oklahoma and his Master's degree from The University of Tulsa. Mr. Kinzer joined the BAPS staff in the fall of 1988 as a teacher at North Intermediate High School. At NIHS he taught American and Oklahoma History as well as Government. From 1993 – 2001 he was the Varsity Head Coach for the BAHS Women’s Soccer team. During his tenure his teams produced two State Championships as well as 7 Conference and District Championships. In 1995 he was named the National Women’s High School Soccer Coach of the year by the NFICA.
Dru Dixon, Assistant Principal
Dru Dixon has been in education for 19 years. The first 12 years being spent teaching all math subjects, coaching and the last 7 years in administration, five of those years at Broken Arrow Senior High. Dixon received his masters degree from Northeastern as well as bachelors. He comes from a family of educators, with both parents retired from education and a sister that is an administrator at Purcell. Dixon has three younger children and his wife is an administrator at Oologah Public Schools. He enjoys being around students and the whole process of school. Dixon likes watching students grow from year to year, and knowing that he influences their next steps in life.
Amy Gann, Assistant Principal
Amy Gann is a McAlester High school graduate. She earned both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from East Central University. She taught ninth and tenth grade English at Savanna High School for eight years. In 2002, Gann moved to Texas where she was a school counselor in Frisco for five years. In 2006, she and her family and returned to Oklahoma where she was hired as a counselor at SIHS. After one year, she moved into an Assistant Principal’s position where she continues to serve South students.
