Kenneth Kinzer, Principal
Mr. Kinzer joins Centennial as the new principal after three years as principal at North Intermediate. Mr. Kinzer has a long history of success with Broken Arrow Public Schools including two state championships as Broken Arrow High School’s varsity coach for the women’s soccer team.
Kenneth Kinzer is a graduate of Catoosa High School. He earned is Bachelor degree in Secondary Education from The University of Oklahoma and his Master's degree from The University of Tulsa. Mr. Kinzer joined the BAPS staff in the fall of 1988 as a teacher at North Intermediate High School. At NIHS he taught American and Oklahoma History as well as Government. From 1993 – 2001 he was the Varsity Head Coach for the BAHS Women’s Soccer team. During his tenure his teams produced two State Championships as well as 7 Conference and District Championships. In 1995 he was named the National Women’s High School Soccer Coach of the year by the NFICA.
Mr. Kinzer left the classroom and coaching in 2001 to join the Childers Middle School staff as an Assistant Principal. In 2008 he was named Principal of Oologah Middle School. After three years at Oologah Mr. Kinzer returned to Broken Arrow as Principal of North Intermediate High School and now is the principal of Centennial Middle School.
Dru Dixon, Assistant Principal
Dru Dixon has been in education for 21 years. The first 12 years being spent teaching all math subjects, coaching and the last 9 years in administration, seven of those years at Broken Arrow Senior High and North Intermediate High School. Dixon received his masters degree from Northeastern as well as bachelors. He comes from a family of educators, with both parents retired from education and a sister that is an administrator at Purcell.
Dixon has three children and his wife is an administrator at Oologah Public Schools. He enjoys being around students and the whole process of school. Dixon likes watching students grow from year to year, and knowing that he influences their next steps in life.
Amy Gann, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Gann joins the Centennial team after eight years at South Intermediate High School where she served as a counselor for one year, then as Assistant Principal for seven years. Prior to this, Mrs. Gann taught 9th and 10th grade English at Savanna High School for eight years, and then served as a school counselor at Clark Middle School in Frisco, Texas for five years before coming to BA.
Mrs. Gann believes that her greatest accomplishments –outside of her family – center around serving and advocating for students and she is excited to be at CMS!
