Joan West is a graduate of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education degree in elementary education, Master of Teaching degree and her administrator’s certification, all of which are from NSU. Mrs. West joined the faculty of Central Middle School in the fall of 1991. She then went on to teach at Oliver Middle School and became an assistant principal at OMS before her retirement. While at OMS, she was chosen as the Teacher of the Year and went on to become one of the three finalists for Broken Arrow Teacher of the Year. After a few years of retirement, Mrs. West went back into the classroom at Centennial Middle School where she later became an assistant principal. In 2010, Mrs. West became principal of CMS. Mrs. West has been married 44 years, and has six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. |
Linda Ricks, Assistant PrincipalE-mail Ms. Ricks Linda Ricks is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She continued her education at Northeastern State University where she earned her Masters in Education Administration. Ms. Ricks joined Broken Arrow Public Schools in 2003 where she taught Language Arts and Literature at Centennial Middle School. She has enjoyed working in the district including her time as a learning coach in 2007 and Assistant Principal at Haskell Middle School from 2008-2010. She is currently serving as the Assistant Principal at Centennial Middle School. Ms. Ricks has been married for 25 years and is the mother of two daughters. |

Patrick James is a graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan University (formerly Bartlesville Wesleyan College), where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education Social Studies and a minor in Psychology. He received his Masters in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University in 2007. A son of career teachers, Mr. James comes to Broken Arrow after a 17 year career in Skiatook which included positions in coaching, teaching, and administration. Mr. James has been married to his wife Jennifer for 20 years and looks forward to many successful years in the Broken Arrow community. |
