Clubs & Activities
Broken Arrow Public Schools continually focuses on providing students with educational opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. Research shows that school connectedness is one of the most influential factors for success in our students, and it is important for us to create an environment in which every student has a niche.
Membership in the following clubs or activities are voluntary and do not affect classroom grades.

Art Club

Aspen Creek Art Club is for 4th and 5th grade students who love art and want to improve their creative talents! Our Art Club will promote imagination, creativity, and art production. We will focus on using a variety of art medias and techniques that go beyond what we do in our weekly art classes. We also plan to work together on a project to beautify our school!
Choir
Sponsor: Marcellus Wilson
Choir for 5th grade rehearses before school in vocal music instruction. The choir performs at various events throughout the school year, culminating in the spring at the all city Choral Festival. The festival has a choir numbering around 425 students.
Garden Club
Sponsor: Jessica Barnett
If you enjoy the outdoors, getting your hands dirty and learning how to grow your own food, garden club is for you! We will meet weekly to learn about agriculture, how to take care of plants and how to garden. Come get some sun and fresh air with us and watch your food grow!
Jammin' Jumpers

The Jammin' Jumpers Jump Rope Team helps to promote fitness for children as an aerobic exercise that would last them a lifetime. The sport of jump rope has been growing at a tremendous rate. Today jump rope is recognized as an official AAU and an Olympic sport.
The Jammin' Jumpers Jump Rope Team is available to perform throughout the Broken Arrow community.
The Jammin' Jumpers practices will be determined once the school year begins.
Lego Club

Lego Club will focus on team building, community, exploring, problem solving and will engage in literacy and math skills. Most importantly the students will use their imagination, creativity and have fun while learning!
Running Club (Striders)
Sponsor: Jeri (Kristi) Carter
Aspen Creek Striders is for students interested in improving their health through walking, jogging, or running. This club meets Thursdays after school.
Safety Patrol
Sponsors: Cindy Wilson
In the 1920s, AAA clubs helped organize a program whereby older students assist younger ones with crossing streets on their way to and from school. The safety patrol concept spread quickly to communities and schools nationwide.
School Safety Patrol at Aspen Creek is a select group of 5th Grade students who volunteer to guide and protect their classmates against traffic hazards. Hundreds of students have served as safety patrol members at Indian Springs, and we continue the tradition at Aspen Creek.
The symbols of the School Safety Patrol are the fluorescent yellow belt and shoulder strap, worn by patrol members. A metal badge bearing the AAA emblem is attached. The belt is easily seen and conveys the need for caution to motorists and pedestrians.
Tiger Club

The Tiger Club's purpose is to foster pride, increase awareness of the needs of those around them in the school and in the community. This club encourages students to develop leadership skills and promotes the tenets of the Tiger Creed (Tenacity, Integrity, Gratitude, Expectations, and Respect).
The Tiger Club helps sponsor the annual Broken Arrow Neighbor canned food drive, Pennies for Pasta,Toys for Tots, and many other service projects.
