Current 8th graders, purchase 2017-18 Chromebook Insurance now for discounted price

We look forward to welcoming your student to Broken Arrow Freshman Academy this fall. As part of the district’s 1:1 initiative to engage and connect students to their learning, your child will be issued a Chromebook. This Chromebook will remain with them through their senior year. In order to provide a great experience for your student inside and outside the classroom, it is crucial that your student has a working Chromebook each day. Though it is not required, we strongly encourage parents to purchase insurance on their student’s Chromebook.

The Broken Arrow Public Schools Student Technology Insurance Program has been established to give parents peace of mind through the ability to purchase insurance and provide HelpDesk support for the student's Chromebook device and accessories. If purchased, the insurance package will cover the repair or replacement costs of the Chromebook and charge cord. The cost for protection is only $25 if purchased before July 20 and will increase to $30 if purchased on July 20 or later. The policy will start the first day of the 2017/2018 school year and last 12 months.

The insurance program is voluntary, but families are highly encouraged to participate. To purchase insurance, visit www.baschools.org/insurance.

Please keep in mind that if insurance is not purchased at the time of device acceptance, parents/guardians are responsible for the full cost of any repair or replacement of all damage to or loss of the Chromebook and accessories. Please read the details in the Student Technology Insurance Program overview to learn more about the various costs associated with the student devices.

Acts of intentional damage will not be covered by the insurance.
