Enrollment information for Pre-K

Broken Arrow Public Schools (BAPS) is proud to have four Early Childhood Development Centers (ECC), including Creekwood, Aspen Creek, Park Lane and Arrow Springs that give students a place to embark upon new adventures in a classroom environment. All children who turn four years old by Sept. 1 are eligible for enrollment as a 2017-18 Pre-K student.

Parents can pick up Pre-K enrollment packets at the Enrollment Center, located at 210 N. Main St. Parents will need to complete the required paperwork and finish the enrollment process at the Enrollment Center. The Student Enrollment Checklist outlines the documents required for the enrollment process.

“Our program is designed to be a collaborative effort involving parents, students and teachers, and by working as a team, I have no doubt that we will be successful in our mission to create a foundation for life-long learning in our youngest Broken Arrow Tigers,” Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education Karla Dyess said.

Each ECC is equipped with early childhood certified teachers and teaching aides who educate no more than 20 students per classroom. Through activities centered on reading, writing, math, art and music, students begin developing early reasoning and problem solving skills – all of which support the district’s mantra of Literacy, Engagement and, eventually, Graduation.

“Full-day Pre-K is a tremendous gift to our community,” said Park Lane ECC Principal Barbara Jones. “We believe this program sets the stage for student success at Broken Arrow Public Schools and beyond.”
