BAPS begins construction on its 15th elementary school

With over half of the district’s growth at the elementary school level, Broken Arrow Public Schools was able to recently break ground on one of three new schools that will serve students in grades K-5. The first of these new elementary schools, currently referred to as Elementary No. 15 until a name is chosen, is located at 209 E. Ave., just north of Kenosha.

This site will accommodate up to 900 students. Amenities will include a media center, full-size gymnasium that will act as a tornado safe room, music room, art room, science room and a tornado safe room. Construction is planned to be completed by the 2017-18 school year.

In addition, a road is currently being constructed to Kenosha to allow for easier access to the school site.

This project is being made possible by the passage of the 2015 bond issue. These bond funds allow us to add classrooms to accommodate growing enrollment, expand and update our facilities and add technology to the classroom. For more information, please click here.
