Parent University presents FAFSA workshop
The next edition of Parent University will provide assistance and insight to parents and students on completing the “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” form or FAFSA.
The FAFSA Workshop is March 2 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Broken Arrow High School cafeteria, and is provided free of charge to BAPS parents.
The Parent University FAFSA Workshop will offer instruction to parents and students on how to apply for an electronic signature for a FAFSA and how to complete the extensive FAFSA form that is required for financial aid considerations at virtually every college and university in the nation. The numerous federal financial aid opportunities to students will also be discussed at this workshop.
“This is an excellent opportunity for parents to see the detailed financial application forms that must be completed for their student to even be considered for financial aid,” said Cindy Williamson, who oversees Parent University for BAPS.
“We’re hopeful this workshop will enhance preparation on the FAFSA so that when the time comes to complete the lengthy form (and it is extremely detailed and lengthy), our parents will be ready. We don’t want any student to miss out on eligible financial assistance for college because their parents were unable to fill out the FAFSA.”
