PARTNERS IN EDUCATION/VOLUNTEERS IN EDUCATION: The Communications Department also houses the Partners In Education and Volunteers In Education programs. Partners In Education, or PIE, is where a school is "adopted" by a business and they exchange resources like personnel, technology and materials. The PIE website can be viewed HERE. Volunteers In Education are parents, citizens and friends of BAPS who volunteer their time to a child's education by helping out at area school sites. The Volunteers web site can be viewed HERE.
PUBLICATIONS: Arrowpoint, which began publication in 1976, is distributed quarterly to all residents and businesses in Broken Arrow and mailed to addresses throughout the state and nation. It features photographs and articles specifically of interest to parents and members of the Broken Arrow school community. It highlights the efforts and accomplishments of students and staff, as well as programs of the school district. It is also available as an online magazine. BAPS W.I.N.S., a weekly publication for staff members, focuses on upcoming events and professional development opportunities. W.I.N.S. is now available on the district's staff home page. Other publications include brochures about every aspect of school life from Fine Arts to the Volunteers in Education Program. Publications have received numerous Awards of Excellence from the Oklahoma School Public Relations Association.
WEB DESIGN: In keeping with today's technologically-advanced workplace, Broken Arrow Public Schools' award-winning website offers a vast amount of resource material and up-to-date information about school closings, meetings, important dates and many vital links for parents and patrons of the community.
