BAPS 2008-09 Annual Report now online

The Broken Arrow Public Schools’ 2008-2009 Annual Report is now available for inspection on the district’s website at www.baschools.org (under links to remember).

The publication features charts, graphs, and reports that profile and highlight the academic, financial, extracurricular, and community-related activities in the School District while also providing a method of accountability to the parents and patrons of Broken Arrow Public Schools and the community of Broken Arrow.

“The 2008-2009 school year produced excellence throughout Broken Arrow Public Schools,” Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Gary Gerber said.  “That’s why I am so very pleased to present the 2008-2009 Annual Report to our parents, patrons, and community.”

A key component of the 2008-2009 Annual Report is the Academic Performance Index (API) information for each district school.  The API is a numeric score created by the Oklahoma State Department of Education to indicate school performance and meet the accountability standards and requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.

Readers of the BAPS 2008-2009 Annual Report will note that the School District’s total API increased for the eighth consecutive year and now stands at 1368.

Those who do not have access to a computer may request a copy of the 2008-2009 Annual Report from the Education Service Center or from a school site principal.
