10.10 Parent Teachers Association (PTA) Media Endowment Accounts

Parent Teachers Association (PTA) Media Endowment Accounts may be established within each school activity fund.

Donations may be accepted from the PTA, PTA members, businesses or individuals interested in providing books for student reading.

Contributions are tax deductible. An appropriate receipt will be furnished by the activity fund treasurer to persons or organizations who make contributions.


Media Specialist at each site will periodically prepare a list of books to be placed in the media center. As funds are received in the PTA Media Endowment Account, orders will be placed for books on the current list.

No items other than books, other media, software, or instructional materials, for the media centers may be purchased with funds from the PTA/Media Endowment Account.

All books purchased from this account will be clearly marked "Purchased from PTA Media Endowment Account," and the name of the persons or organizations who made the donations.
