11.20 Social Security Alternative for Part-Time Employees

Through an agreement with the Social Security Administration, the Board of Education has defined part-time employees as "those employees working less than 20 hours per week and/or who are not eligible for participation in the Oklahoma Teacher Retirement System." It is the policy of Broken Arrow Schools that part-time employees will not pay social security or have social security matched on their behalf by the district. Part-time employees will participate in an I.R.C. Section 3121 Social Security Alternative Plan.
