Broken Arrow Public Schools support the National Association for Sport and Physical Education belief that every student in our nation’s schools, from kindergarten through grade 12, should have the opportunity to participate in quality physical education. We offer a quality physical education program whose role is to develop the health-related fitness, physical competence and cognitive understanding about physical activity for all students so that they can adopt healthy and physically active lifestyles.

Our qualified physical education specialists provide a developmentally appropriate program for all students grades K-6 and as an elective for grades 7-12. We have adequate facilities in grades 6-12 and we are currently building facilities at the elementary level.

Instruction is presented in a variety of motor skills that are designed to enhance the physical, mental and social/emotional development of every child. The curriculum also includeds fitness education and assessments to help the child understand, improve and/or maintain their physical well-being. Physical education activities are designed to facilitate student learning to its best.

Physical education is a strong component of Broken Arrow Public Schools. Statistics show that a healthy body promotes a healthy mind and our school district acknowledges their responsibility to encourage lifetime physical activity among young students.
